Meraki Talent's international FinTech client is looking for a Qualified Accountant People Manager to manage and develop a team of passionate and talented software developers, acting as a conduit between Tech, Finance and their external client base. The organisation has experienced significant growth over the last few years driven by internal successes, strengthened by strategic corporate partnerships, now looking to expand the Scottish business.
The role involves leading a team of experienced Software Engineers and Business Analysts to develop, support, and maintain FinTech software solutions for clients. The business already holds the existing ‘Tech' knowledge required, this is not a ‘Tech' role and this individual is not expected to have a pre-existing knowledge of technology. The role would suit an experienced Qualified Accountant and People Manager who is genuinely interested and curious about technology, who is passionate about leading and developing others, who perhaps wants a change from the typical finance positions available in the external market, which makes this role hugely unique. Someone who enjoys managing internal and client relationships, with a good people manner, and engagement style.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Accountant - People Manager (Fintech)
- Managing a team of tech professionals to deliver support to clients ensuring the day-to-day deliverables and long-term development plans are met
- Managing stakeholders across different countries
- Provide support for European customers
- Collaborate with Scrum Master to define team work model
- Oversee capacity planning, ramp-up and integration of external resources for projects and regional needs
Experience of the Qualified Accountant - People Manager (Fintech)
- A Qualified accountant with a robust knowledge of financial reporting standards essential
- Background in managing and developing teams of people essential
- A genuine interested in technology required
- Experience working within international environments helpful
- Background in team leadership and managing the long-term development of a team
