An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Team Manager to join the Children's Disability Team in Bromley. This role is crucial in supporting children aged 0-18 with severe/profound disabilities and complex health needs, as well as their families, to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Children's Disability Team, including duty management.
- Provide structured supervision and ongoing support to social workers and social work assistants.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality assessments and services to children and families, including safeguarding, court work, and support for children in need and looked after children.
- Collaborate with colleagues from Preparing for Adulthood to facilitate young people's transition into adulthood.
- Report directly to the Group Manager and contribute to the development of service strategies and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A strong background in safeguarding with demonstrable experience.
- Experience in the field of disability is advantageous.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and support a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and delivering best practices.
