Azure DevOps Lead
Our most trusted partner, a leading financial services provider is hiring an experience Azure DevOps Lead who has demonstrable experience working in partnership with a Data function ensuring CI/CD pipelines are implemented to enables our clients data function is able to deliver high-quality data solutions with agility and consistency.
To be considered for this position you must have strong leadership capabilities coupled with a strong back-round in Azure cloud services. Our client is looking to pay a basic salary up to £90,000 + 25% bonus with a phenomenal benefits package to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton on a hybrid basis.
Core responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for data projects, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop appropriate DevOps solutions.
- Mentor and provide training to junior team members on DevOps practices, tools, and techniques.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline development work-flows.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure the reliability and availability of data pipelines and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and data engineering.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability of data infrastructure and pipelines.
Key technical skill-set:
- Proven leadership capabilities in regards to project implementation coupled with the ability to mentor/coach/train junior team members is a must have.
- Recent project experience leading a data function as our client moves into a cloud first estate is a must have.
- Recent experience in hands-on delivery of DevOps, Engineering, Solution Design, and Cloud Architecture is essential
- Strong capabilities in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience and knowledge are essential
- Significant experience in Creating, managing, and interacting with GIT repositories is essential
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Active Directory, App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and Azure Virtual Machines are essential
