My client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure their payroll operations comply with tax laws and employment regulations. This role involves coordinating with various payroll providers, handling submissions to HMRC, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The ideal candidate will manage the complexities of processing payroll for different employee types and schedules, ensuring data security and providing clear payslips.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Coordinate with different payroll providers to maintain consistency and accuracy across systems.
  • Handle the submission of Full Payment Submissions (FPS) and Employer Payment Summaries (EPS) to HMRC.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including personal details, tax codes, and payroll IDs.
  • Consolidate reports from multiple payrolls for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Manage payroll processing complexities for various employee types and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant data protection laws for employee information security.
  • Provide employees with clear and detailed payslips reflecting accurate deductions.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees or regulatory bodies promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in payroll coordination and processing.
  • Familiarity with HMRC submissions and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in using multiple payroll systems and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection best practices.
