Job Elements
- Liaise with sales department to determine customer requirements
- Develop and manage the production schedule in line with customer requirement dates, ensuring products are ready to meet this date
- Develop daily and weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
- Determine material, equipment and labour requirements
- Prepare status and performance reports and resolve production issues
- Maintain, update and communicate the daily plan and associated process documents as required
- Liaise with the Raw Materials Team to ensure the availability of materials
- Liaise with Internal Sales and Transport Teams to ensure customer requirements are on schedule
- React accordingly to changes in customer demand
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation, with an emphasis on embracing technology to maximise efficiency
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a fast paced Manufacturing Supply Chain environment - ideally food or food packaging manufacturing or equivalent
- Full understanding of capacity and resource planning
- Use of SAGE or other relevant ERP based platforms
- Works effectively - tackling immediate demands decisively, whilst retaining a broad awareness of emerging requirements.
- Good IT Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word) with the ability to learn and use business specific applications
