The Role:

We would like you to bring your skills and experience to join our Health and Nutrition Department, where you will be teaching and supporting students undertaking the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing programme (V300) for Registered Nurses.

This is a new programme for UCB which has been approved by the NMC. We are looking to recruit a Senior Lecturer with contemporary knowledge of prescribing and pharmacology, who has professional experience as a senior healthcare practitioner or pharmacist.

Our programmes' curriculum is focused on preparing practitioners to develop their role or innovate their practice as advanced clinical and specialist practitioners, and our philosophy is to work in partnership with students, academics, researchers, service users and service colleagues to deliver high quality learning and teaching based on contemporary research.

To be successful in this role you should have: Professional Registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC· Annotation of your prescribing qualification on the professional register.

Your teaching approach should be flexible, student focussed, and research informed, and you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must have expertise in engaging in post-registration nursing education with sound pedagogical foundations and be able to offer inspirational learning and teaching to students.

You will be able to demonstrate evidence of leadership, teamworking and working autonomously. You should have a strong commitment to developing and maintaining relationships with the programme delivery team, wider university teams, the NMC and our stakeholders, as this will be required during curriculum development and ongoing programme monitoring.
