UI/UX Front-End Engineer
A unique opportunity for an experienced UI Developer to work for an incredibly exciting start-up in Cambridge, which is making technological advances and solutions to support the world of hybrid and remote working. Joining a company founded by experts in their field, who have already realised success with other start-ups, offering the chance to work in an environment filled with technological innovation to ensure the product is as aesthetically brilliant as the back-end.
Location: Cambridge, UK - hybrid working - min 3 days, ideally 4 days in office
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 per annum + benefits
Requirements for UI/UX Front-End Engineer:
- Commercial experience in UI/UX Front-End Engineer role with a focus on the UI
- Minimum of 2.1 from a good university in a subject with a design focus
- Minimum of BBC at A Level or equivalent UCAS points
- Must be highly experienced in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with front-end frameworks - ideally React, but Angular, Vue.js or similar
- Great eye for UX Design & experience with Figma
- Experience in web design and mobile-first principles
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written - this role will be speaking to stakeholders across the business
- A portfolio/Github or similar showcasing your work
Responsibilities for UI/UX Front-End Engineer:
- Understand design requirements through collaboration with the design and UX team
- Provide feasibility insights and explain challenges and constraints
- Translate designs into HTML, CSS and JavaScript code
- Bridge the gap between design and engineering teams
- Ensure the product maintains a fantastic user experience with simple functionality while being aesthetically pleasing
