Senior Category Manager Warrington £62,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced Procurement professional looking for new challenge to lead a Category?
As a result of continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Category Manager, reporting into the Head of Procurement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving Procurement Consultancy in the Warrington area.
In particular, if you have experience and knowledge within the housing, property, or building materials sector, then we'd love to hear from you!
The role is based in Warrington but you will be able to take advantage of flexible and hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop category strategy and planning, aiming to secure approval and category strategies aligned with business goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the market.
- Provide day to day leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring motivation and achievement of KPI's.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supplier to ensure optimal value and service.
- Manage and maximise financial performance of category including forecasting, budgeting and achieving targets.
- Collaborate with other business functions to position themselves and the business as thought leaders in the market.
- Contribute to wider business ESG & sustainability goals.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven Procurement and Category Management experience.
- Solid understanding of contracts with property/ social housing.
- Strong analytical skills with ability make strategic, data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Honed stakeholder management skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft suite and procurement software.
