Job Description:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be instrumental in developing students' understanding and appreciation of the subject, fostering a love for scientific inquiry and discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to a range of student abilities.
- Develop and implement a Science curriculum that aligns with school standards and meets the educational needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Science education, integrating new teaching methods and technologies into your practice.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall academic and personal development of students.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
