Mathematics teachers for KS3 and KS4

Do you have QTS/PGCE for secondary education or a similar secondary teaching certification?

Can you monitor and evaluate student progress and offer constructive feedback to support their learning journey?

We are looking for enthusiastic teachers in the Blackburn area to motivate and captivate our KS3 and KS4 students. The daily pay for this position ranges from £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching expertise.

This role entails designing lesson plans, evaluating student comprehension, and improving the curriculum. The ideal candidate will cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages academic success and a passion for mathematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal Attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
