About the Role:

As the

Technical Author

, you will play a critical role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation. Working closely with engineers, product designers, and project managers, your contribution will ensure end-users and internal teams have the necessary tools to understand and use products efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, working closely with managers and engineering teams across various departments. Utilise tools such as Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and Autodesk for illustrations.
  • Estimate documentation timelines to assist with project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Conduct research by reviewing source materials and consulting with team members as required.
  • Draft, review, and edit technical content in line with departmental standards and established procedures.
  • Monitor requirements and manage the timely delivery of technical documents.
  • Write detailed product descriptions, operational theories, and a range of technical manuals.

The Candidate:

  • At Least 3 Years experience in creating maintenance, troubleshooting and operations
  • A good understanding of engineering standards and ISO standards
  • Proven experience as a Technical Author/Technical Writer, preferably within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks would be preferable
  • Strong ability to comprehend complex technical information and present it in a clear, logical manner.
  • Excellent research, communication, and organisational skills.
