A very happy, smiley but somewhat mischievous client is looking for an animal loving Support Worker who would love to join him in creating arts and crafts pieces and who doesn't mind losing at board games! Our 13-year-old client lives at home with his parents, dog and 2 cats and is supported in achieving his therapy goals by his small care team. Interviews are being booked now so please get in touch if you think the job below would be a good fit for you.

The Role:

Our client has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and uses a wheelchair full-time; he therefore requires round the clock support with all aspects of his daily living including personal care, feeding and medication. He is currently non-verbal but working with his therapists and team, along with using eye gaze and a smart box to communicate and gaining confidence with verbal language.

As a typical young boy, he loves being out and about and visiting places where he can enjoy interactive play so the Support Worker would have to be able to drive his large, automatic vehicle. When at home our client loves spending time in the garden, arts and crafts and playing games. Full training in all aspects of our client's care will be given along with supervision and support of the private therapy team. You will be working with another Support Worker from the team.
