We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Media Lecturer to join our client's Further Education college in West London. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality education in media studies and eager to inspire the next generation of media professionals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in media studies, covering topics such as digital media, film production, and media theory.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that reflect current industry standards and practices.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
  • Provide academic and career guidance to students, helping them to achieve their potential.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the media industry and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the media studies programme.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Media Studies, Film, Communications, or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent experience in a teaching role within further education.
  • Strong knowledge of current media industry practices and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design is preferred.
