Inside Sales Representative

Job description

Tradebe is a global company in the environment sector, serving various markets including industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas and nuclear. We operate more than 80 sites across the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East.

Main purpose of job:

To maximise revenue and profitability from the allocated lean account portfolio, by successfully selling the services of Tradebe in its entirety, conforming to all necessary laws and regulations. Maintain regular telephone contact with the allocated accounts and ensure sales order generation on a regular basis. Grow the account portfolio by securing new customer accounts through converting marketing and sales leads and prospects into customers.

The role

Salary £27,500 - £33,000

Responsibilities

Commercial

  • Inbound/outbound telephone calls to allocated existing lean customer accounts portfolio
  • To ensure customer retention through excellent telephone relationship skills, to develop new opportunity and maintain best in class customer service
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of products and service opportunities
  • Proactively identifying business and sales opportunities when talking to customers and seeking additional revenue for the company
  • Responding to requests for quotation in coordination with the technical assessment department and the pricing desk, or utilising pricing tools available (eg pricing app)
  • Proactively following up on quotations
  • Sales orders generation and coordination with Customer Service Representatives to ensure service is delivered in line with the customer expectations
  • Generating repeat orders from the customer portfolio
  • Dealing with customer enquiries as the assigned point of contact, including associated administration tasks; first point of contact providing both a proactive and reactive sales function
  • Providing feedback to the Internal Sales Coordinator on won and lost opportunities and pricing
  • Meeting monthly revenue targets
  • Meeting weekly activity targets (eg number of telephone calls, number of new customers, number of sales orders generated)

Business Development

  • Inbound/outbound telephone calls to allocated new prospects and leads
  • Drive sales through cold calling and appointment setting for the field sales team
  • Qualification of the new leads and prospects and conversion into customer accounts
  • Maintain and grow a quality pipeline utilising C4C CRM
  • Look for opportunities to upsell and cross sell wider company services and products (eg packaging, transport etc.)

Health & Safety

  • Demonstrate appropriate Health & safety adherence to ensure that the corporate PROUD message is visible and alive throughout all sales activities

Finance

  • Contribute to assessment of current market spot price by providing accurate and timely feedback on won and lost opportunities and prices

Reporting

  • Weekly opportunity pipeline
  • Weekly activity report (eg number of telephone calls, number of new customers, number of sales orders generated)

KPIs:

  • CRM report to be maintained incorporating - sales tasks (meetings, tasks, calls), sales pipeline (weekly reviewed and qualified)
  • Monthly performance against sales targets

The person

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with managing and growing customer portfolio through telephone relationship skills
  • Excellent verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and willingness to work with a CRM system
  • Willingness to learn sales skills
  • Organisation and diary management skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to keep a cool head under pressure, maintaining the ability to communicate with customers at all levels of opportunity, and have a can-do attitude to all challenges
