About the role.

We have an opportunity for a proactive individual with a knack for detail and a passion for precision in financial processes to join our vibrant finance team as an Assistant Accountant, contributing to our organisation's success.

Responsibilities will include.

  • Ensure Accuracy: Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations meticulously, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
  • Invoice Oversight: Review and approve purchase and sales invoices across the business, ensuring accuracy.
  • Financial Oversight: Review and approve bank payments with a keen eye on detail.
  • Management Information: Responsibility for a small business area
  • Analytical Reporting: Produce variance analysis with precision, including headcount analysis.
  • Reporting Packs: Run reporting packs throughout the year, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • System Development: Contribute to developing Agresso, our Finance Accounting system, focusing on improving reporting and streamlining finance processes.
  • Team Support: Assist in team efforts for forecasts, budgets, Group Strategies, and KPIs.
  • Project Collaboration: Support the wider team with ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Audit Assistance: Play a supporting role in year-end audit work, ensuring seamless processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain close contact with ledger departments to identify areas for process enhancement and efficiency.
