Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance to employers, agencies, and voluntary organisations on concerns or allegations involving those working with children and young people.
- Chair child protection strategy meetings concerning allegations against staff, carers, and volunteers.
- Liaise with the police and relevant agencies to manage allegations effectively.
- Report significant safeguarding issues and high-profile cases to the LADO Partnership or senior managers.
- Collaborate with the LADO Partnership and Surrey Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) on inter-agency performance management processes and standards.
- Deliver child protection training to staff and volunteers.
- Analyse performance management data and support the preparation of reports for senior management.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with Childrens Services, in a LADO position, for a minimum of three years.
- Valid registration with Social Work England.
- Valid UK drivers license, with access to own car & ability to travel nationally.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
