Assistant Operations Manager required! My client is a transport and road haulage company based in Dunstable. Due to company growth, they are looking for a traffic operations manager with strong leadership and managerial skills to join the team, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the company.
Assistant Operations Manager - Responsibilities
- Assist the Operations Manager in supervising daily operations, including coordinating activities, assigning tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate the movement of the fleet.
- Provide exceptional haulage services to clients throughout the UK.
- Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve operational performance.
- Identify areas for improvement to improve operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members.
- Ensure a positive workplace is maintained.
Assistant Operations Manager
- Proven experience in traffic operations management within the logistics or transportation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of UK road haulage regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and systems.
- Proven experience in managing operations and supervising staff.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Remuneration
- Monday - Friday 8-hour shifts
- Salary - £35,000 - £40,000
