Our client are a leading Ship Management company with responsibility for two passenger ferries operating in the Irish sea.

The Role:
- Technical Superintendent overseeing two Passenger vessels
- Regularly visiting vessels operating in the Irish Sea
- Responsible for the operational issues and day to day running
- Prepare Individual Ship Budgets
- Oversea Repair and Dry-dockings
- Arrange Class inspections
- Rectify defects
- Oversee Claims
- Ensure Spare parts are kept in stock
- Maintain vessel paperwork
- Arrange Surveys
- Oversee Technical Machinery, navigation equipment and Hotel/Catering Equipment
- Manage appropriate Stores, Lubricants and Spares stocks
- Oversee Planned Maintenance
- Any other duty as required by Management to ensure safety of vessels
The Person
- First Class Chief Engineers Certificate or Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally some Experience as a Technical Superintendent Ashore but extensive ROPAX/Ferry experience will be considered
- Must reside within 2 hours of Dulin or Rosslare.
