Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be recruiting an injection moulding machine operator on behalf of a plastics manufacturer in Sheffield.
The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day productions activities and first-line preventive maintenance within the manufacturing department.
Salary & Shift:
Monday - Friday weekly rotating shift pattern 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Salary £33500 - £36500 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee running of injection moulding machines
- Troubleshoot injection moulding machines, moulds and peripherals to enhance performance, utilising Pareto data capture to identify issues
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Organize quality packaging operatives to meet production requirements
- Prepare daily production plans and performance reports, providing timely updates to the production manager.
- Uphold quality standards and implement corrective actions for non-conformance
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize scrap rates and waste
- Train and develop staff in operative procedures and instructions
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Maintain records of production and maintenance for moulds in and out of use.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Logistics, Production and Quality teams daily
- Identify and implement improvements to process, quality and cost-effectiveness of moulding operations
- Perform colour changes, colour sampling and material trials
Experience:
- Experience in operating Injection Moulding Machine
- ITM1 Qualification
- Experience in Plastics industry
