Reed are currently working on behalf of a leading freight forwarding business with a robust in-house customs team, are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and detail-oriented Customs Coordinator to join their growing team in South Manchester.
The Role: As a Customs Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the customs clearance process, ensuring that all paperwork is prepared accurately and in a timely manner for the arrival of freight at airports or ports. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of customs regulations and facilitating smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage customs documentation for import and export operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, duties, and taxes.
- Liaise with government agencies, clients, and internal teams to ensure efficient clearance of goods.
- Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and inform relevant parties accordingly.
