Are you an experienced and passionate Architect looking to join a successful international firm in Dubai?

My client, a multidisciplinary firm delivering projects worldwide, is currently looking for a Associate Architect / Lead Architect with a minimum of 15 years' experience to join their growing team at their Dubai office.

The successful individual will play a vital role in the architecture and design process of various construction projects. Working closely with senior architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to contribute to the development and implementation of architectural plans and solutions.

Associate Architect / Lead Architect requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years experience in an architectural firm or related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp. In Design) and other related tools.
  • Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant codes/regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain high-quality standards in design documentation.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to manage tasks independently.

Key duties of the Associate Architect / Lead Architect will include but will not be limited to:

  • Design and Planning: Assist in developing architectural concepts, designs, and plans for new construction projects or renovations. Collaborate with senior architects to ensure that designs align with project requirements, budget, and timelines.
  • Research and Analysis: Research materials, building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques to support design decisions and project compliance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams to coordinate design efforts and integrate various disciplines, such as structural, mechanical, etc.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations to understand project objectives, gather feedback, and communicate design solutions effectively.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Contribute to eco-friendly and sustainable design practices, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and materials when applicable.
  • Quality Control: Assist in reviewing architectural plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to established design principles.
  • Construction Oversight: Support construction activities by responding to site queries, reviewing shop drawings, and addressing design-related issues that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in architecture to enhance personal and team capabilities.
