Salary: £35,000
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We have an immediate requirement for a Food Technologist, who has previous experience, not only in fresh produce but also in Fish. You will also need experience & knowledge to FIR 2014, Food Allergens and Microbiology.
The Food Technologist is centrally placed within the Technical Team working with various internal departments and suppliers, to safely onboard new and replacement products on behalf of the Reynolds Group.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Safety, Quality and Legal review of all new products / suppliers sourced by Reynolds Group Procurement teams.
- Maintaining appropriate and demonstrable product and supplier due diligence.
- Proactively manage and plan seasonal changeovers to aim for a seamless transition.
- Provide support to the technical team and the wider business by responding professionally to internal and external queries.
- Conduct food technical research and source accurate information with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Support the technical team with additional project work and technical administrative tasks when required in support of the RCS QMS, agreed customer and 3rd party standards.
We are seeking applicants with the following qualifications, skills, attributes, and experience:
- A science-based degree graduate or equivalent.
- Significant experience within the same or similar role.
- Previous experience in fish products.
- Knowledge of FIR 2014, Food Allergens, Food Microbiology.
- A robust understanding of Food Safety.
- Intermediate level – Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- High level of attention to detail.
