Are you a recent graduate seeking a career within education?

Academics are currently recruiting for an excellent Learning Support Assistant to work with a secondary school in the centre of Newport. This would be a full time role due to start in September for the duration of the academic year. They are very keen to hear from individuals who have a particular interest in the pastoral and wellbeing areas, either experienced or willing to learn.

With class sizes up to 20 pupils, the right person will be adept at behaviour management and help to with students who have temporarily been removed from their mainstream timtables.

This Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting individuals with special educational needs in the classroom as well as small groups outside of the classroom.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have a genuine passion to help pupils to make excellent progress. Your role will be to offer support across the school. They have an excellent track record of great training and will teach you how to run interventions and support pupils by working with the class teachers.
