People Solutions are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to work with our well-established client in Halifax in the Automotive sector.

Day to Day Duties
- Analyse operating environment
- Identify process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy
- Conduct time and motion studies
- Improve labour utilisation by studying work methods
- Testing modifications
- Designing new methods
- Recommending job restructuring
- Preparing work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
- Complete work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors
- Protect organisation value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches
Essential Skills
- At least two years' experience working in the automotive sector in a similar role
- Competence in problem solving methodologies, primarily Ishikawa and 5why
- Computer literate with all Microsoft Office packages.
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written), coupled with good numeric skills to be able to present facts for demonstration purposes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
