The Rates & Credit Suite of Applications is used daily by Fixed Income Traders and Middle Office Globally. These systems provide for all needs of Traders: providing liquidity to 10+ world's biggest multi-dealer platforms, receive and handle clients' trading requests to execute trades, capture and service the trades through their sometimes 50year life cycle. Product range is wide - starting from Bonds, extending to REPO, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and ending with Exotic Portfolios. Dealing with complex financial products, we build these systems with a traceability and recoverability in mind. Wide diversity of products allows to see different styles of processing but also requires technology expertise to find reuse opportunities between various processing flows and products.

As a Test Automation Lead, you will be involved in the design and build of an automated test suite of one of our next generation platforms for Rates & Credit Trading business which will kick-start this year and aims to be highly innovative and market-leading in its features.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for the trading application
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective test coverage and execution
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Ensure that the trading application meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring thorough regression testing is conducted
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the trading system can handle high volumes efficiently

Your skills and experience

  • Testing experience with good knowledge of trading systems, including RFQ/order management, execution management, and market data
  • Proficient in test automation frameworks like Cypress, Karate, Cucumber
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and programming languages (e.g., Java, C++)
  • Solid system debugging skills like looking at logs, tracing end-to-end requests and good working knowledge of the Linux shell
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
