Trainee Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Engineer to join our client's Field Service Engineering team.

In this role you will be taught how to service and maintain TV reception systems in blocks of flats across the SE of England.

Initially you will be working with an experienced Field Engineer in their van.

The plan would be to meet in Harlow at the company HQ, then travel to client sites (the Engineer will most likely pick you up from home). You must live a reasonable commute from Harlow.

The role will involve ladders, drills, climbing on roofs, cabling, wiring etc.

You will be taught to install and align satellite and UHF TV Aerials and to troubleshoot and resolve issues on IRS (Integrated Reception Systems).

You can expect to progress to an Engineer role within around 18 months to 2 years. At this point you must have a full UK drivers' licence (we can accept a learner driver as a trainee).

To apply for this role you must:

  • be physically fit
  • have either a driver's licence or be learning to drive
  • have no issues passing a DBS check
  • live near Harlow
  • be reasonably technically minded and looking to learn

Standard hours will be Mon - Friday 0800 - 1700, you must be flexible (as early starts are required on certain jobs)

Basic is £11.44 per hour, you get paid all 45 hours, so a £26800 salary + all travelling, and overtime is paid.
