A global leading FTSE 250, we are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to contribute to an ambitious Agile technology programme, designing and building a greenfield system from scratch. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete digital product delivery process for their flagship products. The ideal candidate will have held a Delivery manager position with experience managing a team of scrum masters.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our client's technological transformation. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of their flagship products, from conception to final delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing resources effectively, coordinating with various teams, tracking agile metrics to gain insights into team progress, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also provide guidance to Scrum Masters and promote Agile principles within your team. Your ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the comprehensive delivery of the product, ensuring it aligns with the highest quality benchmarks.
- Maintain our delivery governance structure, generating detailed reports and plans on progress.
- Identify, manage, and report risks and issues associated with the products delivery.
- Ensure that the project is delivered on schedule and within the allocated budget.
- Track, report, and interpret agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and burn-up charts.
- Provide line management of Scrum Masters, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
- Establish and drive communities of practice within the delivery discipline.
- Serve as the primary escalation point within and outside the delivery team.
