About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary: £49,559 - £56,757 + car /car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Real-Time Systems Delivery (RTSD) Team is responsible for the project delivery, design, installation, testing and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems, Operational Communications and SCADA field systems that SSEN use to operate our primary and secondary assets across multiple locations across the Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution (SHEPD) licensed area.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of Technical Services and Operational Technology projects. You will lead project teams, develop project plans, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality throughout the ED2 price control period.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to enable successful delivery of strategic needs projects to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders to establish project obligations.
  • Ensure projects are successfully delivered whilst meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Monitor, control and communicate project progress as agreed with senior stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs and control financial risks and manage stakeholder relationships, including suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage project documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Attend site meetings as required.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Proven track record of successful project management, preferably with qualifications such as APM, PMQ or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate project delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the UK electrical utilities sector and its regulatory environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites across Scotland.
