Our client, an education site, near Alton, Hampshire is currently looking for a Catering/Kitchen Assistant to join their talented team.

The Role:
The Catering/Kitchen Assistant will be responsible to the Head Chef and will work in liaison with the wider Catering team to ensure efficient running of service.
The Catering/Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for the preparation of food service areas for lunch and evening meals, this will also include preparing salad bars, sandwich lunches and birthday parties as requested. They will also be required to prepare and cook certain food items under the direction of the Chef.
In addition to the above, you will need to adhere to the weekly cleaning schedule, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
There will also be occasions when you may be required to work in the Dining area to support the Catering team.
Hours:
This role will include a combination of 7.00am - 15.00pm and 11.45am - 19.45pm shifts.
Experience & Skills:
The successful candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding and busy environment. Experience of working in a kitchen/catering setting is desirable but full training will be provided.
- A minimum of two years previous experience in a Catering/Kitchen Assistant Position (desirable)
- Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check
