OPERATIONS MANAGER
Contract length: 6 months (potential to extend)
Location: London
Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office

What you'll do:
As an Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting the UK COO in implementing operational resilience and excellence across all UK entities. You will collaborate with various business units, cross-functional teams, and critical third-party providers to safeguard critical business services. Your role will involve contributing to the creation of regulatory compliant policies, analysing end-to-end value chains, planning scenario testing for specific business services, and maintaining oversight of material arrangements delivering services to UK entities. Your commitment to compliance with relevant legislation and company policies will ensure our continued success.
- Contribute to the creation of regulatory compliant policies, standards and models related to Operational Resilience.
- Complete analysis of end-to-end value chains, including identification of single points of failure, interdependencies and third-party dependencies.
- Plan, coordinate and lead scenario testing for specific business services involving both internal functions and third parties.
- Work closely with procurement managers and BPO team to maintain oversight of material or critical arrangements delivering services to UK entities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry codes best practice and company policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong key stakeholder relationships in order to provide an effective service to the business.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Operations Manager position brings extensive reinsurance or insurance experience along with at least ten years of experience in the London market. A degree-level education or equivalent is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer orientation skills, the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, and a keen attention to detail. Your investigative skills and ability to analyse data for decision-making will be key to your success in this role.
- Extensive reinsurance and/or insurance experience
- Degree level education (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- CII Dip (or equivalent) qualified or progress towards completion of insurance qualifications preferred but not essential
- At least 10 years of Insurance preferably London market experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications effectively e.g. Excel and other departmental software packages
- Strong customer orientation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail & investigative skills
- Ability to analyse data and use for decision-making
