To assist the Payable Manager to ensure payments to suppliers, employees and volunteers are accurate, complete and executed in a timely manner and that processes are standard and efficient whilst meeting all legislative requirements.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Accounts Payable role are:

  • Analysing, processing and posting data in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To follow standard work procedures and maintain and update them as required.
  • Reconciling financial data and preparing reports and returns.
  • Dealing with internal/external customers and resolving queries.
  • Resolve queries, identify recurring issues and propose solutions.
  • Identify any areas of non compliance and report on them appropriately.
  • Maintaining an awareness of data protection issues and keeping abreast of relevant areas of legislation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to help reach and maintain Finance future state
  • To become involved in other ad hoc tasks as required.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Accounts Payable role is someone with:

  • Qualifications required: Essential - GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
  • Experience required
  • Demonstrable experience in an office environment and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Enjoys working in a financial environment, adopts a calm approach to a busy workload and is an effective and customer focused team player
