Credit Controller | Part Time | Hybrid working
Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a successful, family-run business in the FMCG industry who have a new permanent opportunity for a part time Credit Controller.
This is a permanent part time opportunity offering hybrid working (20 hours per week)
The Role:
Working as part of a small team, the post holder will be solely responsible for the credit control function within the business.
Specific duties will involve:
Be responsible for a portfolio of clients and the collection of outstanding debt
Ensure compliance with the Company's credit policy and procedures
Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments, maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are cleared for payment
Resolve queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
Escalate disputed or complex accounts
Appraise the credit and risk position of the company and provide regular reports on problem accounts
Be responsible for ensuring all software system notes are inputted in a timely and accurate manner
Daily use of Xero software
The Person:
3 years experience within a Credit Control department
Experience in dealing with a large customer base
Previous experience in using an accounts software package, ideally Xero software
Competent in using MS Office
Ability to take ownership of the credit control function in a stand-alone role
Must be able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually
