Salary £24.10 per hour Paye / £27.60 ph rolled up holiday / £32.38 Umbrella (inside IR35)
37 hours a week - Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 (3 days in the office / Hybrid role)

Job Description:

You will be a key member of the Supplier Performance team. Managing procurement activities, including working with both prototype and existing suppliers and components to achieve project goals. You will provide purchasing solutions and ensure a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow from source to dock. Your leadership will be crucial in implementing cost reduction projects, optimizing the supply chain, and improving quality while assessing the soundness of business proposals and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Local Sourcing Strategy: Implement and manage a local sourcing strategy to meet the facility's needs.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee policies, agreements, special purchasing programs, and support specific Product line(s) NPI programs.
  • Cost Reduction Leadership: Lead initiatives for cost reduction, sourcing optimization, logistics, and resource management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support new product introduction activities within Purchasing.
  • Global Liaison: Coordinate with Category Buyers and Buyers at our global manufacturing facilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a Purchasing role.
  • Experience in managing a supplier base, including prototype solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, suppliers, and customers to effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing global suppliers.
  • Professional certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
