Assistant Property Executive – Residential
An Assistant Property Executive who has at least 2 years' experience in a Residential Conveyancing department is required by a Leeds based Law Firm to join their team.
This position would suit someone who has experience in a similar role and is looking to develop their skills and experience and is used to working in a fast-paced residential property department whose client care is at the forefront of their mind.
The role is varied which will include but is not limited to:
- Taking initial instructions.
- Opening files.
- Obtaining and carrying out title checks.
- Preparation of contracts and mortgage documentation.
- Obtaining and carrying out search checks.
- Taking client's instructions throughout transaction.
- Corresponding with other parties (ie solicitors, brokers, estate agents) providing updates and responding to enquiries.
- Collating source of funds documentation.
- Completion formalities.
- Post completion formalities including obtaining release of undertakings and registrations.
- To assist other fee earners where required.
- Archiving of closed files.
- Attend conveyancing courses where required.
- Ensure compliance with CQS standard.
- Observe rules on procedures, general conduct and confidentiality in the office as stated in the staff Handbook/Office Manual.
- Adhere to the requirements of Lexcel and the Quality Procedures Manual in the capacity of your role.
- Adhere to the requirements of the CQS in the capacity of your role.
- Adhere to the SRA Rules and Regulations in the capacity of your role.
- Ensure to follow the Staff Handbook policies and procedures.
- Maintain your Learning and Development log.
- Contribute to the Marketing and Business Development of the Department.
