We're seeking a Senior HR Manager to join our team at The Westway Trust, a unique charity transforming North Kensington through social, environmental and economic initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-quality HR support, ensuring our policies and procedures are up-to-date and effective. You'll also lead on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), ensuring a fair and inclusive workplace for all.
Please note this is a 2-year fixed term contract with a 35-hour week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to the Head of Governance and HR, including timely and relevant updates and reports for the Executive Team.
- Deputise for the Head of Governance and HR in meetings with the Executive Team.
- Ensure up-to-date HR policies are in place and reviewed regularly, identifying and developing new policies as needed.
- Lead the implementation of the Trust's EDI policy and ensure HR-related recommendations from the Tutu Foundation review are actioned.
- Investigate staff grievances and external complaints, propose realistic recommendations, and write detailed reports.
- Support the preparations for the Investors in People (IiP) external assessment in 2024.
- Develop and implement a Cultural Competency Framework.
- Respond to HR-related Subject Access Requests.
- Cover key elements of the HR Business Partner role when required.
- Work with the HR Business Partner on staff recruitment and selection processes, including serving on interview panels for senior roles.
- Develop and analyse human capital metrics to demonstrate the impact of our people strategies.

The Person
- A professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent), or currently studying towards one.
- Extensive experience in HR operations and policy development, preferably within a charity.
- Strong understanding of employment law and legislative changes.
- Enthusiastic about EDI with creative and engaging communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
