Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure staff are working efficiently.

  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems.

  • Coordinate stock replenishment and manage returns.

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and customers.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for operational improvements and implement changes.

  • Develop and optimize warehouse processes and workflows.

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and technology for efficiency.

  • Financial Management:

  • Manage warehouse budgets and control costs.

  • Analyze financial reports and metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Plan and forecast future needs and expenditures.

  • Quality Control:

  • Ensure products are stored and handled correctly.

  • Implement quality assurance programs.

  • Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies.

  • Customer Service:

  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Facility Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse.

  • Ensure equipment is serviced and operational.

  • Manage space utilization and organization within the warehouse.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports.

  • Analyze data to drive operational decisions and improvements.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in warehouse management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
