Technical Accounting Manager | Central London | £70-80k
Exciting opportunity for an ACA qualified individual looking for a Technical Accounting Manager role in a leading media organisation with a supportive culture and opportunity for progression.
My client is a leading Media based business who is looking to expand their finance function by adding a Technical Accounting Manager to the team. This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to develop their career in technical accounting, with my client offering excellent career progression. This would be the perfect next step for a ACA qualified accountant, who is currently in a technical accounting team within a leading practice firm, and has 2+ year post qualified experience.
The Role
Reporting into the Senior Technical Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for:
- Monitoring new and current accounting standards to ensure the group complies with all regulations.
- Communicate changes to accounting standards to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Review the accounting treatment for new contracts to ensure they are compliant with accounting standards.
- Prepare technical accounting papers for complex transactions and business issues by presenting research and analysis outlining the impact to the Group.
- Work closely with the wider team (e.g. M&A, tax, legal) to advise on accounting standards.
- Support the technical accounting team.
- Review the Group's financial statements and advise on technical accounting standards.
- Ensure that accounting policies are applied across the group.
- Ad-hoc analysis to spot opportunities or reduce areas of risk.
You will regularly interact with senior management, meaning that stakeholder management skills and an affable personality are a must. This role requires a strong performer and somebody with the ambition and intellect to apply their own insights were possible and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Your Background
You must be ACA qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience in a technical accounting role. Ideally, you are making your first move from PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, or EY.
Location
Central London with hybrid working from home.
