We are looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 midwives to join our enthusiastic and committed midwifery team. You will be joining a well-established team dedicated to the ongoing promotion of women-centred care and better births.

This is a rotational post, and the post holder is required to work in all areas within the Maternity Services providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
As a member of our team, you will be professional, reliable, safe, and compassionate towards women, babies, and their families. You will work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team in an environment that is open, supportive, and empowering.
Your experience will ensure that you provide a high standard of care to mothers and their relatives/carers. This in turn will be supported by our well-established and robust in-house training programmes alongside an accessible approach to supervision.
Skills & Experience:

Valid NMC registration as a Midwife

Proven experience in midwifery practice

NVQ assessor
-
Professional appearance and behaviour

Clinical skills, in particular:
-
Suturing
-
Cannulation
-
Supervision of epidural infusion
-
Good communicator both verbally and in writing, with the ability to write clearly and legibly in English

Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time

Computer literate
-
Knowledge of evidence-informed and research-based practice

Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct, Guidelines, and Professional Practice

Awareness and knowledge of vulnerable adult and child protection issues

Flexible approach to working hours and practices
