Cost Accountant
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

The Role and Opportunity
You will be an essential part of the finance team within a leading surface blasting company, helping to streamline operations across the business. Your work will span cost analysis, financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the business. This role will require adaptability, handling confidential data, and supporting the Group FD in numerous duties. You will also:
- Managing the financials for the Manchester site, ensuring accuracy in cost reporting and budgeting
- Supporting the Head Office financials alongside the Group Financial Director
- Working closely with the finance team, including Purchase Ledger Clerk, Credit Controller, and Finance Manager, to drive efficiency in financial processes
- Handling confidential financial data and supporting on ad-hoc tasks as needed
- Maintaining flexibility in managing multiple priorities
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in cost accounting, financial management, or a similar role. Ideally, you'll be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), though strong candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. Additionally, you will have:
- Proven ability to handle confidential financial information and support senior leadership
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy under tight deadlines.
- The ability to work within a small, collaborative team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with financial software and strong Excel skills
