**Accounts Assistant
- Location: Bury St Edmunds
- Salary: Up to £14 per hour, dependent on experience
- Job Type: 4-month temp to perm
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping and administrative tasks, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of Sage50 software.
**Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Sage50, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
- Manage credit control, maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring timely payments from customers.
- Print and input purchase ledger invoices into Sage, maintaining organised financial records.
- Respond to email queries from customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
- Handle absence leave requests, keeping track of employee attendance and leave balances.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations across all business operations
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with finance administrative duties.
- Proficiency in using Sage50 software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
