Finance Manager

I am delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare provider who operate UK wide. My client is looking to recruit a qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA Finance Manager to join the Commercial Finance Team on a full time permanent basis. This role is remote but will cover the Midlands/East Anglia.

Reporting to the Head Of Finance providing crucial commercial finance support across the business UK wide your typical duties will include:

  • Support and challenge key operational stakeholders in order to drive performance.
  • Own the budget setting process required for your region.
  • Negotiate annual and ad hoc fee increases with funders / external stakeholders.
  • Attend periodic business and finance reviews.
  • Undertakes projects for the Group which may cover a diverse range of topics within commercial and operational settings.
  • Support the business to prepare business plans and undertake commercial evaluation of new opportunities and development plans for existing services, in conjunction with operations.
  • Provide commercial support to the business in tendering for new opportunities and contract renewals.i
  • In conjunction with the wider Finance function ensure the integrity, probity and reasonableness of local financial controls and financial data.
  • Provide recommendations that add value and / or create greater efficiencies.
  • Providing hands on help with queries and issues both on financial systems and policies and procedures.
  • Assist the business with process non-compliance. Ensure sites are following proper procedure on all business applications and are adhering to best practice guidelines.
  • Attend sites to investigate financial irregularities as and when required and reconcile operational practises to the budget for each site.
  • Able to commute to regional and finance team meetings at various office locations and attend sites as and when required.

Ideal candidates:

  • Qualified, CIMA, ACA or ACCA equivalent
  • Able to manage a high workload across a number of services
  • Ability to business partner with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Able to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent commercial acumen
