Finance Business Partner - 3 Months, possibility of perm

Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to support the business leaders to deliver sustainable profitable growth. You will develop strong, effective, and credible relationships with the business leaders, supporting their operational and strategic decision making by providing insightful financial analysis and analytical opinion.

You will contribute to key decision making, using business partnering skills to both challenge and support, helping drive operational performance. The role holder will be a critical member of the Commercial Finance team and will partner the Senior Leadership team across the business within the areas of Commercial, Digital, Retail, Marketing, Property and Logistics. The role will report into the Head of Commercial Finance.

Role

  • Supporting the business to critically analyse performance providing deep insight and balanced recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Working with key stakeholders to explore areas of strategic change and how this will translate into the numbers.
  • Provision of coherent, concise reporting of performance, focusing on financial and non-financial KPIs across various channels, with key drivers understood.
  • Working with the business to critically evaluate ability to meet targets, identifying areas of risk and/or opportunities to improve performance.
  • Ensuring that there is a solid understanding of the drivers of performance, with identification of good and bad contributors, and producing insight that is able to drive action and improve performance.
  • Preparing Budget models for Sales and Margin, broken down by category and channel, with supporting KPI's. Preparation of other cost budgets, with strategic change impacts embedded.
  • Ad hoc commercial support

Experience

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, or equivalent accountancy experience.
  • Consultancy/business strategy/Decision support/Analytical
  • Proven and strong analytical skills coupled with demonstrable experience in evaluation methodology and/or analysis of performance
  • Proactive, self-starter, tenacious and diplomatic; must be a completer/finisher

The role is initially for 3 months but with a strong posssibility of perm for the right person.
