We're looking for an established Civil & Flood Risk Engineer in London!

This is an ideal role for a Civil or Flood Risk Engineer to take their career further, taking on a technical leadership role for a small Flood Risk team on exciting development projects, while also producing civil infrastructure designs.

They are a large company with over 500 employees and a dozen offices nationwide. Services offered include geotechnical & environmental, structural, flood risk, civil and transport, and there is a great deal of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Role:
Your main responsibilities as a Civil & Flood Risk Engineer will include leading a small team of engineers from a technical perspective, ensuring delivery of projects Flood Risk deliverables, and supporting the director to continue with business development. You will manage team resources and assist the director with business development and client account management.

This role will offer exposure to both Flood Risk and Civil Engineering for developments, as you will have access to both work streams, making for quite a varied workload.

The ideal candidate will have...

  • Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments
  • Experience in surface water drainage design and SuDS in RIBA stages 2-3.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage/Causeway Flow.
  • Experience in managing projects and acting as a technical discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects is essential
  • Experience in managing/mentoring other members of staff.
  • Strong IT and GIS skills.

Desirable:

  • Detailed drainage design experience.
  • Civil 3D knowledge.
  • Highways design experience (S278/S38).
