Our client, a global music publishers' Copyright division, is seeking a proactive UK Copyright Administrator to work collaboratively across various departments to ensure song registration and royalty obligations are met.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining Copyright data integrity across a range of clients' portfolios.
  • Working across the Global Copyright team, UK Contract Administrator, and UK Royalty Processing team.
  • Registering the company's UK interests in new works in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitoring registration statuses to include validation reports and rejections.
  • Using the company's internal rights database to maintain data that covers works, deals, and client information.
  • Communicating with the global affiliate offices and PRS, and ICE to manage queries.
  • Collaborating with the team to manage inboxes, spreadsheets, and project management sheets.
  • Overseeing weekly compilations of new UK releases and chart activity.
  • Working towards process optimisation in collaboration with team members.
  • Assisting with agreement disputes, error reviews, and suspense reviews.
  • Assisting with cue sheet registrations.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of publishing and copyright administration.
  • Strong organisational abilities, and solid administration skills across Microsoft.
  • Ability to manipulate data within Microsoft Excel is desirable.
  • Experience within publishing industry and education to degree level is advantageous.
  • Proactive approach and able to manage varied workloads and tasks within deadlines.
  • Comfortable setting own priorities and managing workload.
  • Flexible approach, able to adapt to business needs within the team.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine interest in the music industry and songwriting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
