I'm currently recruiting for a digital agency who are looking for a talented WordPress developer to join their team on a hybrid basis. They are based in Winchester and have been delivering integrated marketing campaigns for over 15 years. They focus on delivering award-winning, multichannel marketing solutions across both digital and traditional media channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with the creative director, digital director, and development team to translate design concepts into functional websites and applications.
- Provide regular project status updates to account managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct code reviews, technical appraisals, and performance monitoring to maintain high standards of quality.
- Test, debug, and validate code to ensure functionality across various devices and browsers.
- Adhere to UX/UI principles to enhance user experience and interface design.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in:

Custom WordPress plugin development.

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Sass.

Strong PHP and MySQL skills.

Experience with Grunt/Gulp and RESTful APIs.

Building and maintaining responsive websites.

Familiarity with Jenkins or GitLab.

Experience with Vue, React, or Angular JS.

Excellent testing, debugging, and validation skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
