Maintenance Manager

Purpose of the Role:

To have ultimate responsibility for all elements of planning, co-ordination, control and reporting of all maintenance and logistics projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and are fully compliant, within budget, on time and to a high level of quality. Focused on delivering multiple projects with moving deadlines. To lead & mentor the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of all maintenance projects
  • Estimate the external and internal resource, and materials requirements needed
  • Draw up schedules to meet the deadlines and ensure cost efficiency
  • Proactively but calmly communicate any red flags with urgency
  • Communicate the costs and schedules to internal departments
  • Monitor and improve service levels to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring optimum resource during holiday and sickness
  • Implement and monitor quality-control programmes
  • Identify and implement best practice and cost saving methods
  • Assist H&S Lead with Project H&S, Risk and Method Statements
  • Manage the administration through the team - scheduling, parking fines, speeding fines, uniform log, travel, training, working permits/passes, out of hours support, job uploads and validation, tracker, working hours, expenses and invoicing
  • Manage and review department credit card spend
  • Complete vehicle management including logistics and insurance
  • OSCAR (PLB proprietary system) management - ensuring the team are updating jobs, all commercial elements, validating photos, RAMS
  • Manage, set KPI targets, mentor and develop the teams (full time and contracted)
