Commercial Finance Director
£100,000 - £120,000 plus Car & Bonus

Exciting Commercial Finance Director opportunity within Healthcare. As Commercial Finance Director you will join an established and well run finance team, reporting to the CFO.
Principle responsibilities will include:
- The principal responsibilities of this role are to ensure that services are appropriately funded by the relevant commissioning body.
- This will be achieved by driving the fee uplift strategy, considering current service performance, market conditions and meeting the right contribution level so the business is sustainable for the long-term future.
- Leading a team to deliver on the core objectives the role will work seamlessly alongside other key departments including NHS Contracts, Finance, and Business Development.
- The role will also lead in costing tool development and new service pricing models both with individual placement agreements and whole service & site development including acquisitions.
- Financial lead on key funder negotiations and building finance to finance relationships.
- Reporting to Executive Board on outcomes of Annual Uplift negotiations and other revenue related items.
- Lead responsible for the agreed pricing and contractual arrangements being documented and communicated to invoicing team, thus ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring service costs and flagging anomalies where pricing may become an issue so that a proactive strategy can be put in place.
- Preparation of costings to support complex care developments
- Implementation of financial modelling to support tenders and new contract opportunities
- Development of feasibility studies to support acquisitions
Future:
This role will also oversee and manage the contracts team and contract performance from 2025
Person Specification
- Experienced senior finance professional with good commercial acumen.
- Experience of negotiating at a senior level with Local Authorities & Integrated Care Boards
- Comprehensive understanding of the make-up of public sector commissioning structures
- Knowledge of key policy documents informing the sector e.g. Agenda for Change
- Ability to build relationships with key customers
- Comfortable to work alongside and influence senior colleagues and confident to make good fact-based decisions.
- Experience of the Healthcare sector and private Healthcare funding.
- Highly proficient in Excel, with ability to build and maintain pricing and costing models.
- Experience of working with large (sometime imperfect) data sets and ability to turn data into high level, useful and well-presented information.
