Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with an established manufacturing business, that has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer. This role reports directly to the Head of Strategic Projects and will be responsible for managing various CAPEX and OPEX projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion.
The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple projects, supporting maintenance operations, and assisting in day-to-day site activities. This role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage contractors and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will liaise with various stakeholders, including the maintenance team and Operations Manager, to ensure seamless project execution and operational support.
As the Project Engineer you will:
- Lead CAPEX and OPEX projects from initiation to completion
- Coordinate contractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders
- Conduct regular meetings to align stakeholders and address project challenges
- Assist the maintenance team with equipment servicing and breakdowns
- Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve equipment faults
- Provide operational support to the Operations Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day site activities
- Address immediate operational needs and assist with problem-solving on-site
- Assist in procuring non-steel materials and supplies
- Ensure procurement aligns with company policies and project requirements
To be considered for the Project Engineer you will need:
- Engineering or manufacturing experience, or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline (or relevant Bachelor's degree)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Proactive and solutions-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CAPEX and OPEX projects
- Familiarity with procurement processes and maintenance operations
- Design experience with 2D/3D CAD systems (SolidWorks) is a plus
