Complaints Team Leader

Your new role
Your role will involve leading and motivating the Complaints team, ensuring excellent customer outcomes through active participation in daily tasks and ongoing enhancement of team performance and processes within a regulated environment. You will manage day-to-day activities of the team, allocating tasks and workflows, ensuring the team are completing tasks in a timely manner. You will be the main point of contact for operational queries, escalating to management where necessary. Working to ensure confidentiality is withheld, and data systems remain compliant.

You will be involved in supporting recruitment and ensuring the team is resourced effectively to maintain cover across the working week. You will support staff with training and development across the employee lifecycle. You will conduct 1 to 1 reviews with staff on their progression, providing constructive feedback on their activities and being a sounding board for feedback and conflicts.

It is vital in this role to maintain a positive team culture. Inspiring your colleagues to have a solutions-focussed attitude to customer service.
You will be working a weekly shift rotation from 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm, and 12pm to 8pm and 35 hours a week. Occasional Saturday shifts may be required, but time in lieu will be paid for weekends worked.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within customer services.
  • Solution-focused attitude to work, adaptable to change.
  • The ability to provide clear, direct and helpful feedback.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
