Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Planned Maintenance Surveyor to join the Asset Management team. This role is essential in ensuring the effective planning and execution of maintenance programs across their housing stock. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying properties, planning maintenance schedules, and overseeing works to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular surveys of housing properties to identify maintenance needs.
  • Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance services.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the housing management team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, surveys, and maintenance works.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a housing association or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction, and related regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in building surveying, construction, or a related field.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across Worcestershire as required.
